I began meditating in 2013. More than ten years later, in early 2024, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression symptoms.
Even with a decade of practice and a profound spiritual experience along the way, meditation hadn’t “protected” me the way I expected.
My doctor prescribed medication, which I tried briefly, but I knew the real solution had to come from within.
One day, I sat for two hours in meditation, facing the darkness directly instead of resisting it. That sit shifted something deep inside me.
Soon after, I rediscovered Unified Mindfulness. I had known of Shinzen Young’s work years earlier, but immersing fully in the system became the true turning point in my growth.
I view mindfulness in three dimensions:
· A purification process—letting suppressed experiences rise and be released.
· A way of living—letting go and practicing acceptance in daily life.
· A practice—cultivated moment by moment.
Since 2015, I’ve also studied David R. Hawkins and A Course in Miracles, which continue to shape my understanding of surrender, acceptance, and intrinsic wholeness.
With over seven years of professional experience as an architect, and years living in the U.S. and Japan, I now reside in China.
I write about mindfulness and spirituality, with a passion for integrating practice into hectic modern life—finding peace and balance without overcompensation or escapism.
The 8-Week Unified Mindfulness course transformed my life. I’d be honored to share it with you. If you’re interested in learning more about the course, feel free to DM me.
